CD Labels

Options. We offer thermal transfer printing (directly onto the surface of the CD-R) in black and in full color. A thermal transfer black ink label on a silver-lacquer surface is included in duplication pricing and is the most cost-effective CD-R/label combination available. We also offer high-resolution laser and inkjet labels, on matte and gloss. The "mm" dimensions below refer to the outside diameter of the label and the diameter of the center hole.

Thermal Transfer

Black ink thermal, 118 / 41 mm, 1-100% - P/N 101 included
Full-color thermal, 118 / 41 mm, 1-100% - P/N 201 $ .32

Laser

Matte, black, 116 / 41 mm, 1-20% - P/N 701 .22
Gloss, full-color, 118 / 41 mm, 1-20% - P/N 801 .30
Gloss, full-color, 118 / 15 mm, 1-20% - P/N 802 .40
Inkjet

Matte, black, 118 / 41 mm, 1-20% - P/N 501 .36
Gloss, full-color, 116 / 41 mm, 1-20% - P/N 606 .42
Gloss, full-color, 118 / 17 mm, 1-20% - P/N 607 .52

Laser and Inkjet Coverage. The pricing above for laser- and inkjet-printed paper labels is based on coverage of 1-20%. An additional charge is applied for more coverage. If printing is by laser, for 50% coverage, add $.08 per label; for 100% coverage, add $.14. If printing is by inkjet, for 50% coverage, add $.16 per label; for 100% coverage, add $.30.

Graphic Images in Labels. Customer-supplied graphic images can be readily incorporated into a label. To ensure optimum results, the original graphic image, whether color or gray-scale, should be a minimum of 300 dpi. We prefer a portable network graphic (*.png), a bitmap (*.bmp), or a jpeg (*.jpg).

We will be glad to print samples of your company logo or other images, at no charge, using thermal, inkjet, or laser. Please send us your image(s) and a printed hard copy, along with any specific requirements that you may have.

Proofs. We routinely send (fax or e-mail) a proof label prior to production. If time is a factor, as it usually is, we strongly recommend the preparation and proof of a label as early in the development process as possible, even before the data is ready.

Data Base Import. We can import fields from data base records into both thermal transfer and paper labels, thus individualizing labels with data from a customer's records. Data base import from a double-quote/comma delimited text file (minimum of 300 CD's) is $.40 per record.

Serialization. Labels can be serialized with incremental numbers or with serial numbers imported from a delimited data set, preferably a double-quote/comma delimited text file. The cost is $.30 per record, with a minimum of 100 CD's.
